Jim Graham brings over 50 years of experience to his role at G&H Architects.

His professional career prior to founding Graham & Hyde in 1968 includes association with architect/industrial designer Eliot Noyes in New Canaan, Connecticut. He also served as a Medical Facilities Planning Officer for three years for the U.S. Air Force in Washington, D.C. and another three years as Senior Associate Architect with Chapman & Miller Architects in D.C.

Mr. Graham’s experience has included planning and design of religious buildings, educational facilities, health care facilities, office buildings, and housing for the elderly.

Jim brings a particular passion for worship architecture, including design, artwork, stained glass and liturgical design requirements. He has coupled these interests by serving as past national chair of the Interfaith Forum on Religion, Art, and Architecture.

Jim PaintingJim is a native of Springfield, Illinois and has enjoyed watercolor painting since his college days. A professional artist, he has exhibited paintings with the American Watercolor Society, the Audubon Society, and the National Academy.

He has been married to Carolyn for 47 years. Together they have four children and nine grandchildren. Jim and Carolyn enjoy traveling, especially to visit their family which is scattered across the U.S.
