As Cherry Hills Baptist Church outgrew their existing facility in Springfield, they purchased a 40-acre tract on the south side of Springfield to develop and build a new facility to serve their growing needs. Graham & Hyde Architects was selected to team up with the Church to turn their vision into reality.
Phase I, completed in 2006, included a master plan for the entire campus, construction of a 50,000 square foot building with a 600-seat worship space, a preschool, classrooms, and children’s ministry space. Also included in this initial phase was a separate 10,000 square foot building for the Church’s youth ministry program.
Phase II is now in preliminary planning stages and will include a larger 1,200 to 1,500 seat worship space and an additional 65,000 square feet of educational and common use space for the Church’s members.
